Biologics – finally in 2023!

21 February 2023, I received my 1st dose of Rituximab/Ristova biologics.

I  have waited for this medication for 4yrs.

7 declined applications. 

I persevered and never gave up, God made a way and I had my 1st infusion, it was really tough as the medication is very strong. I had a few adverse reactions but the staff were so amazing in ward B, Durbanville Mediclinic, especially Sr Melanie Philander and team….thank you for being so kind and expertise I could trust, though it was traumatic, I felt safe.

It’s never easy to be in the ‘waiting room’ of life,but… He who has promised is faithful!

It has been a long journey so far with lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis and organ involvement but I am so thankful to my amazing family,friends,prayer partners and colleagues for All your prayers and support.

I have never walked this road alone, and I received my second infusion in March.

“The show must go on”…..
